Isn’t it strange how time seems to slip through our fingers? One moment, it’s morning, and then we’re wrapping up another day. Another week. Another year. We tell ourselves that we’ll get around to the things that matter, but somehow, “later” never seems to arrive.

We all know this feeling. Life speeds up, and soon enough, we’re packing years into file folders of “maybe one day” memories. Maybe one day, we’ll spend more time with friends. Maybe one day, we’ll learn that new skill. Maybe one day, we’ll finally feel like we’ve made enough time for what truly matters.

But as each day slips by, it becomes clear: “later” is a thief. And without noticing, we’ve let it steal some of the best moments of our lives.

The Weight of Small Postponements

Picture this: You’re working through a busy afternoon, a quick break sounds nice, but then you think, “Maybe later.” A friend calls, but you’re in the middle of something, so you send it to voicemail, promising to call back later. Days pass, then weeks, and suddenly that little interaction — the laugh you would’ve shared, the story you would’ve told — has slipped out of reach.
